Nestled in the heart of the Wairarapa, Bideford School is the perfect retreat for everyone from small families to big groups, who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The Old Bunk House comfortably sleeps up to 18 guests. The Old Bunk House consists of 7 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms, kitchen and open plan lounge/dining room. There is plenty of space inside and out, for your group to relax and enjoy their time at Bideford School.

Ideal for large groups, family reunions, team bonding or just for a holiday!

Bideford School also has a tennis court (rackets and balls are provided or BYO) that guests are welcome to enjoy all year round. The pool is available during daylight hours through Spring and Summer, and closed through late Aumumn /Winter. There's also an outdoor wood fired pizza oven and gas BBQ.

We also offer The Old Schoolhouse for hire. Recently renovated, this building is the ideal add-on space for large groups. It offers an additional indoor space for your function or retreat. Please contact us for more information.

Bideford School is the ideal place to escape busy, everyday life. Relax and unwind sitting on the deck listening to the native bird song with a drink and a book. As we are a rural location phone and 3G reception is limited. Rural connection wifi is available.

Try your hand a cooking pizza in our wood fired pizza oven. Full instructions are provided in the house manual or your hosts KJ and Chris can talk you through using the oven.

Get connected to each other and away from devices- The Old Bunkhouse boasts puzzles, boards games, books, magazines, a retro DVD collection, plus tennis and a pool!

Being a rural location we are on tank water. We ask guests to be mindful of water consumption by keeping showers to a 5 minute maximum and toilet flushes to a minimum.

The accommodation has a UV water filter for safe drinking water.

We are a dog friendly location by prior approval only please.

Property managers KJ and Chris )and family) live onsite in separate accommodation and are always available to answer any questions or to lend a hand lighting the pizza oven or log burners.

Please note the Old Bunkhouse is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between bookings, following the Ministry of Health 2020 guidelines.
